How many of you here remember 1975? I hope the newer generations never forget.
The true believers got shamed for it. Those who were hedging their bets, fared much better. I lived through this nightmare when I was 12 years old. I was badly disoriented and jaded when it failed. I couldn't figure out why it was wrong for kids to lie, but when so-called godly adults did it, it was OK.

Jehovah’s Witnesses Anointing
by Newbee inthis is a video i put together about what i see as the future for jehovah’s witnesses.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ck_cghensao.

I still agree with what I said in my video about the JW’s being clean living people,
having love among themselves and preaching the good news.
@Newbee
Really? You can believe what you want. We have lived it. I was kicked out at 14 on the street for talking to school friends in my neighborhood. I had concerns about the 1975 false prophecy and wouldn't shut up about it. I was repeatedly told I was mentally ill, unchangeable, a hater of God etc. etc. etc. I ended up in prison for 10 months while still a teenager for marijuana. I had previously tried to join the military, but didn't qualify because I didn't finish high school. The 8th grade was the last grade I completed.
I am writing this post on my 75 acre gentlemans ranch which is only 45 mins from where my dad now lives... alone. He lives in a small apartment, in a small town with no yard, no pets allowed. His hellish isolation has already begun. Only my older brothers are witnesses. All his grandsons are now Christians because of my influence and the blessing of the Lord.
Every JW kid who questions their family religion gets psychologically bludgeoned with hours of slanderous lectures until they simply can't take it anymore. Looking for relief, they turn to drugs, sex, and alternative lifestyles looking for some relief from the mental terrorism.
This young lady was mentally abused, drugged and abandoned by her elder JW father while a teenager. While estranged from her family, she was raped while a knife was held to her throat. But hey, that's what she gets for leaving Jehovah, right?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J_dzLrj_ms&t=104s&ab_channel=BibleReady
Reeling from that, she married someone who took advantage of her weak and vulnerable position. He cheated on her from almost the start and fathered 3 of her children. The Lord later gave her a wonderful husband and another son and so she now helps many other young ladies deal with the trauma of Watchtower terrorism.I hired a new office manager a few weeks ago and it turns out she was raised JW and had to join the military at age 18 to escape her deranged family who were radicalized by WT fear mongering and propaganda.
She is a 40 something grandma now and never dealt with the trauma. She tries to hide the pain but slips into tears while remembering. She showed me a scar on her lip where her father hurled a shoe at her when she told him she was being shipped out in a few weeks for active duty. Her father told her that he brought her into this world and he can take her out. My father often told me the exact word for word thing, as if they were being controlled by the same malevolent entity.
Her dad went down to the recruiting office to try and control the United States military. That was a moment of clarity for him I'm sure. He was told she was an adult and could choose what she wanted to do. He found out he couldn't bully military officers the way he could his defenseless teenage daughter.
You believe JW's preach the good news? Wrong. The primary message of the Christian church is reconciliation with God.God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the ministry of reconciliation.
20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. - 2 Cor. 5
Jw's do not preach the ministry of reconciliation. They preach the kingdom message in Mt. 24: 14 that Jesus told his Jewish brothers they would one day preach (the real 144K male Jewish virgins during the GT)
In fact, the WT actively preaches AGAINST the ministry of reconciliation and has shut up the kingdom of heaven because they teach that believers can no longer be Justified (declared righteous)... since 1935, making it impossible to be reconciled to God.
Please join a decent bible-believing chuch and get some education. There is almost nothing salvageable from Watchtower, the world's premier Satanic organization. -

What does the Catholic church think of JW?
by Halcon inon a trip to rome a few years ago i asked my friend (who is roman and jw) what the catholic faith thinks of jw.
he simply stated that jw is tolerated by the church but that really not much thought is given to them.
is there an official stance on jw by the catholics?

@aquasedThanks for the contextual perspective. Helpful. Would you agree with this AI Google response to the question: Was denying the Real Presence a capital offence during the inquisition?Answer:Yes, denying the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist was a capital offense during the Inquisition. This was particularly true in regions like England, where it was a capital offense during Henry VIII's reign and continued to be a crime punishable by death for those who refused to compromise with the Catholic Church. The Real Presence, the belief that Christ's body and blood are present in the Eucharist after consecration, was a central tenet of Catholic belief and was often linked to other heresies that were also punishable by death. For example, in the English Reformation, those who denied the Real Presence faced severe consequences, including death, especially during the reigns of Henry VIII and Edward VI. The Inquisition, which was a church institution tasked with finding and punishing heresy, was a key tool in enforcing Catholic doctrine, and the denial of the Real Presence was one of the most serious offenses it dealt with. -

Jan, do you believe that government officials who refuse to enforce immigration laws in hopes of increasing their voter base are acting criminally?
20-30 million people invaded our country under the totally lawless regime of Biden who refused to enforce immigration laws. Then, many government officials continue their despotism by trying to get these impoverished people to vote, which is getting easier to do. Lawless New York City now has nearly a million non-citizen city residents eligible to vote.
These law-breaking citizens of foreign nations will predictably vote for whomever promises the most government hand-outs and us real citizens are then forced to pay for it. Yea, that's right. We are FORCED to pay for a lawless scam that cancels the votes of real citizens.

This is part of the broader mission to lead all people to the fullness of truth found in Christ and in the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
@aqwsed12345
We agree on a great many things of orthodoxy. And for that, I am much grateful for your many posts. But, bible believers not affiliated with anyone other than Christ, and certainly not the Catholic church, has theological problems with statements like the above. Jesus is the TRUTH, not you, not me, not any church. That's what the boss says. Deal with it.
We JW kids had this "truth" stuff crammed down our throats, all the while their false prophecies were failing. The few of us that were saved out of that hell hole bear witness to Christ in the very midst of heresy. It's all we ever knew. But, when God wants you and hunts you down, it doesn't matter. Truth is found in Christ alone since he alone is the TRUTH.
So, while I am grateful for the Popes of the last 200 years, history cannot forget the 19 Popes in a row that facilitated the death of 50 million Europeans in a cooridinated systematic way during the Papal Inquisition. What a nightmare that was. 600 years of terror.
Not all of your brothers share your affinity for the Papal Church, though we all support the catholic (universal) church. -

Welcome to freedom 3rd gen. There are a handful of “non essentials” that Christians continue to debate.
This is what it looks like when freedom meets faith. But, the one thing that Christians are united on is Salvation by faith.
That is non negotiable. Faith in the self-resurrection of Jesus as he historically predicted. Because he lives, so will I. (John 14:19) It really is that simple. It was game over when he walked out of that tomb. Bada Bing!
It was for freedom that Christ set us free - Gal. 8:1
Freedom is messy a little. Cults try to create a cheap imitation with their uniformity.
Now, here’s the big question: Why is God so interested in our Freedom that he would go to the lengths that he did?

Time to increase your medication Riley. I think you have hit a plateau where right and wrong don’t matter anymore.
Do you know how dangerous it is to promote lawlessness? Where does it end?

illegal immigrants are statistically more unlikely to commit crimes than native born Americans.
Nonsense. They are committing a crime by being here.

God sacrificed himself:
“feed the church of God which he purchased with his own blood”. - Acts 20:28
Jesus, the man, said that no one takes his life, he gives it up because of his own volition.
Lots of people have given their life to save others.
Like a good dad, God put this burden on himself.
